Battery runtime is estimated from usable watt-hours divided by average power, then verified against route and duty-cycle testing.

Estimate nominal battery energy as voltage × amp-hours. Multiply by usable capacity and system-efficiency factors, then divide usable watt-hours by average electrical power. The result is approximate because route, payload, acceleration frequency, temperature, battery age and controller limits change real consumption.
Energy calculation
Nominal energy is V × Ah. If a 24 V pack is rated 20 Ah, its nominal energy is 480 Wh; this arithmetic does not state how much is safely usable. Apply documented capacity and efficiency factors.
Duty-cycle calculation
Average power should include powered travel, starts, idle electronics and losses over a representative shift. Runtime hours ≈ usable Wh ÷ average W.
Verification
Repeat the route at realistic payload and battery temperature. Record delivered energy, voltage, current, stop condition and time. Do not publish a HAION runtime claim without an approved test record.
